Every day is a new day, and each day holds many opportunities for each of us. We really need to look at those opportunities and grasp their relevance; then act on them. If we hesitate, that means opportunities lost. We had the pleasure of attending the 62nd AWWDA Convention in Red Deer, Canada, once again. These are very dear friends of ours for some 20 plus years. This year’s convention had a sadness to it because the very special person, Carol Larson, who has been handling this association as Executive Secretary for 28 years was unable to be there due to health reasons. Even with uncertain times, the show did go on with Interim Executive Secretary, Sheena Larson, Carol and John’s daughter, at the helm. She did a terrific job. Of course she should, she had practically grown up there with her parents, and always helped her mother with the convention details at registration, etc. Now, that is how it should be with each of our businesses - from mine to yours, and all those in between. It would be so great to have our children jump into our work and enjoy what it is we do. Some of course, have other plans, which may have fell into their thought process as ours fell into ours. That is still all good. The main thing is that we all be happy at what we do each and every day - for life is far too short.
