13 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® DECEMBER 2020 Sandvik Sells Exploration Business Sandvik has agreed to sell its exploration business to Drillman, a subsidiary of the M-Group of companies, owned and operated in Australia. Drillman provides equipment and technical support to the geotechnical, mineral exploration, horizontal directional, and upstream gas drilling sectors, among others. The deal includes exploration rigs, consumables, and production stock, along with selected trademarks and patents, which are currently part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. “I believe we have found a good home for our exploration business in Drillman, who will support . . . the further development of its operations and performance,” said Henrik Ager, president of Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. Harry Mostert, CEO for M-Group of companies said, “We are very excited to acquire Sandvik’s Exploration business and look forward to collaborating throughout the transition.” WHO’S IN THE NEWS Grundfos has appointed Poul Due Jensen as its new CEO. According to Jens Moberg, Chairman of the Board of Grundfos, Poul has been an invaluable part of the company since the turn of the millennium. He has also been a vital part of the Group Management since 2015. “We have a well-defined and ambitious strategy and above all, we have a strong management [team] and fantastic employees who are focused on doing their best every day,” stated Poul.
