Remote Villages in Africa Receive the Gift of Water Adapted from Information by Lifetime Wells International and Earth Data Incorporated Lifetime Wells International (LWI) is a public charity registered in the United States. Cofounder Ken Wood started drilling wells in Ghana, in 2006. Operations have come a long way since then, with a team of local drilling experts who are dedicated to bringing clean water to the people of their country. Through their efforts and donations, they drill boreholes, install hand pumps, mechanical pumps, and provide maintenance each year. On Friday, December 13, 2019, LWI drilled their 100th pro- ductive well of the year in Ghana - so this was a lucky day for the people of Nakpali. Their water well drilling program has also reached remote villages in Tanzania. Conditions on the ground are very similar to the early years in Ghana, with poor infrastructure and road conditions making it difficult to get large drill rigs and supplies to the areas needing it most. Even with these obstacles, LWI is committed to drilling 100 wells in Tanzania each year. LWI is changing lives; making a difference in their future.
