I wish over the years I could have asked a spouse, parent, boss, customer, politician, or media person no matter what they said - “How do you know that?" And do you know what their answer would be? Just more opinions. Try it sometime - when you get the opportunity it’s really fun. So I will give you a few simple examples this month to help you. If someone says . . . The traffic is going to be really bad this week. - How do you know that? It’s going to rain this afternoon. - How do you know that? If you don’t lose weight, you are going to have a heart attack. - How do you know that? I don’t want to go there on vacation this year, the people are not very friendly. - How do you know that? If we don’t get the car fixed soon, we are going to get stranded somewhere. - How do you know that? If we don’t take better care of this customer, we are going to lose them. - How do you know that? If we don’t close this account, we will be in serious trouble for a long time. - How do you know that? If we don’t change this (anything), we are going to have a recession. - How do you know that? If so and so doesn’t change their behavior, it will have serious consequences. - How do you know that? Want more? I could go on for pages, but I’ll let you come up with some of your own.
