20 APRIL 2022 WorldWide Drilling Resource® The “Idiots” Corner by “Billy Bob Smith” Animals are Smarter than Humans Day I am not against traditions, celebrations, special events, or even stupid holidays, but watching this ground hog predicting the next few months is like letting a politician predict tomorrow or even the next year. I know in a past version of Billy Bob, I discussed a variety of crazy or stupid special holidays, but this month I want to focus on who (tongue in cheek) predicts the future and why we should believe them, listen to them, or even care what they think - keep in mind . . . this column is not (or supposed to be) about serious stuff. It’s just supposed to lighten your day or even a few minutes of your life . . . Okay, here we go: 2 Cats predicting the future - “Why do humans think we are so stubborn? We just want to maintain our independence and be left alone. Is that too much to ask?” 2 Monkeys predicting the future - “For many years we have been accused of being smarter than we really are. Yes we can talk and yes we can understand some words and emotions, but don’t be fooled - if we ever take over, you all will regret treating us so poorly and we will never stop harassing you until you give us the freedom we deserve.” 2 Mice predicting the future - “We may be little and not too smart, but we can disrupt your day any time we want, so stop trying to eliminate us from society. We will never give in and we can and will be here forever.” 2 Ants predicting the future - “Without us, you would have nothing to do in the summer. We help bring uncertainty and challenge to your warm days. You can just say thank-you.” 2 Owls predicting the future - “Yes, we can be a pain in the neck at night as you are trying to sleep, but without us, you would never see the bad times coming. You would just spend your days in la-la land wishin’ and hopin’ and dreamin’.” 2 Donkeys predicting the future - “When the world no longer has horses or the energy grid fails, you will have to rely on us to get you to new places in the desert or maybe even in your neighborhood, so be nice to us or you might end up stuck somewhere.” 2 Elephants predicting the future - “Okay, so we are the world’s biggest animal and many would believe the dumbest. But when we eat too much and leave our “mark” on the world, you might wish you had been just a little bit smarter and letting us roam in the wilds of nature and not your local zoo.” I know, I know the above comments were over the edge, but hey, it’s April and this is the month of April Fools Day . . . so lighten up dudes.
