29 JANUARY 2022 WorldWide Drilling Resource® In Memoriam Edward John “Ed’ Zientek (1939~2021) Honorary member of the Michigan Ground Water Association, Edward John “Ed” Zientek passed away November 11, 2021. In 1978, Ed and good friend Jerome Bufka started B&Z Well Drilling in Maple City, which he owned and operated until his retirement in 2000. When time allowed, Ed enjoyed woodworking in his shop, hunting, and smoking meat. Ed is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorraine; children Mark (Pam), Jan (David), and John (Krista); grandchildren Brandon (Sami), Nathan (Mariah), Kyle (Frances), Samuel, Benjamin, Marli, Bradley, and Joshua; great-grandchildren Willow and Antonio; sisters Betty (Larry) and Shirley; brother Don (Darlene); and other extended family. Stephen D. “Steve” Eslinger (1958~2021) The Montana Water Well Drillers Association lost member Stephen D. “Steve” Eslinger on November 18, 2021. Born in Iowa, Steve was raised in Montana. In 1976, he moved to Wisconsin where he met the love of his life, Wendy. They moved to Alaska for a few years, then to Montana in 1984. In 1990, he joined the family business, Eslinger Drilling and Pump Service. On his days off, Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also participated in long-range shooting competitions. Steve is survived by Wendy; daughters Misty (Chet), Melissa (Joey); and Darlene (Bryant); grandchildren Kayla, Louis, Faith, Jada, Katie, and Lena; great-grandchildren Haven and Kane; several siblings, and other extended family.
