47 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® MAY 2013 Focus on EXPONOR 2013 The International Exhibition for the Mining Industry, EXPONOR is held in Antofagasta, Chile, every odd-numbered year. The 2013 event is June 17-21. Mine sites in the Antofagasta region are responsible for the majority of copper production in Chile, thus EXPONOR is an excellent choice for attendees and exhibiting companies to be part of a main trade fair for the global mining industry. Show organizers expect 40,000 vis- itors and 1000 exhibiting companies from 30 participating countries. The WWDR Booth #847a will be located in the U.S. pavilion. Something new this year is a special area designated for equipment demon- strations. The event also offers additional activities such as technical conferences, seminars, business meetings, and local mine tours.
