Ronnie’s Real World The more we age, the more we real ize just how precious life really is. As I sat in my living room the other night, my sweet Mini Schnauzers in my chair with me; looking through the e-mails that may have come in after I left the WWDR office; there was one from a dear friend, Patti Josey. Many of you, especially if you are from the northern provinces of Canada, will remember Patti as being that smiling face at the Atlantic Water Well Association annual conferences. She still keeps in touch, which is a blessing to me. Patti was “bringing me up-to-date” with goings on in her life and her two son’s lives, and then went on into the several dri l l ing associates who had recently passed away in that area. You have already seen Gary Jackson’s memoriam in an earlier issue. In this i ssue , a r e two mo r e f r i ends o f WorldWide Drilling Resource, Inc. memoriams. Yes, unbeknownest to a great many of us, Walter Chappell and J-P LeClaire lost their lives earlier this year. These are not the kind of writings I enjoy bringing to you, but they are the ones who deserve the most attention for they devoted their lives to our industry of drilling. They worked hard every day, as did their lovely wives, Margaret and Diane ; and we don’t know how many of the rest of their fam- ilies worked beside or with them in some fashion to allow them to bring the most life-sustaining element to us ~ water . Remember always, we are NOT guaranteed tomorrow. Be certain to cherish each minute of each day as if it were your last. BUT always prepare for the future as if you were going to live forever. Don’t bother with those petty arguments. Look at each other and laugh, hug, and smile and merely say, is it really that important? I doubt it is and am sure your lives will be happier.
