13 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® JUNE 2018 Terex Utilities Breaks Ground on New Manufacturing Headquarters Terex Utilities is planning to construct a new manufacturing plant on a 55-acre site in Watertown, South Dakota. By consolidating from ten facilities to one, the company will be able to enhance production of its aerial devices, digger derricks, auger drills, and more. The new facility will take advantage of state-of- the-art manufacturing technologies and automation systems. “Bringing production operations under one roof so that materi- al and people only have to travel feet instead of miles will greatly reduce lead times, improve internal communications, and provide team members with greater access to safety, quality, and management support and resources,” said Clint Weber, VP and general manager of Terex Utilities. The company expects operations to begin in the new facility by the end of 2019.
