13 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® JULY 2020 Flomatic ® Announces NSF/ANSI 61 and 372 Certifications on All VFD Models Flomatic ® announced all of its variable frequency drive (VFD) series of check valves are NSF/ANSI 61 certified for drinking water systems. In addition to NSF/ANSI 372, the low lead standard has a weighted average of 0.25% lead content by dry weight. NSF/ANSI 61 Drinking Water Standards a re a set of national standards which establish stringent requirements for equipment coming in contact with potable water. The test uses different water pH levels to a more challenging chemical certification. The company offers a wide range of patented VFD check valve configurations in unleaded bronze, stainless steel, and ductile iron, specially designed for use with VFD- controlled submersible pumps. Flomatic’s unique VFD valves are designed to minimize flow losses and hydraulic shocks in the pumping system.
