32 OCTOBER 2020 WorldWide Drilling Resource ® SAFETY SET IN PLACE at The First AnnualWorldWideDownHome DrillFest™ Safety is a major concern for theWWDRTeam and we are taking strong precautions for you, our friends and associates in the drilling industryWorldWide . And to give you a sneak preview, here are a few photos of some of those safety items. Be sure to arrive EARLY on Wednesday to take advantage of our Continuing Education Classes. You will be provided with the necessary documentation to submit to your particular state to ensure you are current with your hours to continue your chosen profession. When you arrive at the Welk Theatre to register or pick up your badge(s), you will be greeted by one or more of the WWDRfamily. No worries, you will readily recognize them - they will be wearing our classic red (of course), but this time it will be Safety Vests to help let you know that is number one on our mind. They will be there checking temperatures, providing hand sanitizer, offering masks, or these great shields. Then they will assist you in completing your forms; Attendee, Continuing Education Classes, Exhibitor, and this year’s terrific Ladies’ Excursion. Registration for both the Continuing Education and the Ladies’ Branson Excursion begins at 8:00 AM. Classes begin at 9:00 AM and continue with breaks (coffee, tea, water, and snacks) - lunch on your own (restaurant and concession stand available); then continue until 5:00 PM. Ladies’ trip begins at 9:15 AM where everyone will meet in front of the Welk Theatre and depart for Branson at 9:30 AM. If this historic Welk Theatre in Branson could talk, it surely would have some terrific stories to tell us. Some of us may remember seeing him onstage; perhaps on a black and white TV? And even on the radio before you got TV? I’ll bet you didn’t know that beneath the stage of this historic building lies memorabilia of those days gone by. Behind the stage is a hallway where hundreds of performers from that era took the time and enjoyed placing their names on those walls celebrating their time with Mr. Welk. What a great time to live.
