Their decades of experience with buying and selling drilling rigs and tooling, heavy equipment, mud pumps, air compressors, engines / gensets, and parts set the company on a fast track to success. By 2000, the company decided to open its second location, a shop in Mifflinburg, Pennsylvania. In 2006, the East West Drilling division was established at the Mifflinburg location. The Mifflinburg facility was upgraded with major renovations between 2007-2010; adding 14 work bays (including professional paint and wash rooms), more office and retail space, and a larger warehouse stocked with drill tooling, components, parts, and motors. The forward-thinking company even installed a geothermal system for heating and cooling the building. The company’s growing inventory led them to purchase several properties surrounding the facility so they could expand the outdoor yard space and full service shop in 2014-2016. In early 2016, the owners invested in more inventory and additional neighboring property for future growth, while also hiring more employees to provide on- and off-site repairs and services. These highly trained technicians have the experience and knowledge necessary to completely remanufacture, repair, service, and fabricate drill rigs, engines, air compressors, mud pumps, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, motors, hoses, drill towers, power heads, and other related drilling and construction parts. The company’s full-scale machine shop with lathe and milling machines are manned by experienced machinists who are able to create custom products and parts. In addition to customizing rigs and machinery, East West Machinery and Drilling is also a dealer for many major manufacturers, offering genuine and aftermarket products, parts, and tooling.
